Description

During this basic course, you will:
1. Obtain knowledge about basics algorithms and data structures for representing your research data.
2. Learn to decompose your problems and organize your code in a clear and maintainable way, suitable for publications.
3. Learn how to export your data, including preparing plots and figures for publications.
4. Gain experience with R and Python (for the practical exercises, you will use only one language).
5. Learn about presenting your projects as web applications and how to safely use AI for coding.

Learning Outcomes

After the completed course, the participants will be able to solve programming problems in research process: pick the appropriate method of decomposition, create algorithms and data structures, implement the created algorithms using R/Python programming language, write maintainable and reusable code, visualise data, work in group with other programmers and prepare code for publishing. Theoretical knowledge obtained during the course will help students to continue improvement of their programming skills either themselves or through other courses.
